Les Menuires is a ski resort in the Belleville valley of Les Trois Vallées that was founded in 1964.
The resort has advanced and beginner ski slopes. Its slopes are connected to more than 600km of slopes in Les Trois Vallées, making it a part of the largest skiable area in the world. The resort also hosted some of the games of the 1992 Winter Olympics.
The Menuires/Saint Martin ski area is made up of 3 complementary sectors:
The Mont de la Chambre sector: Situated directly above The Menuires, it offers numerous ski lifts and long slopes accessible to everyone. This sector rejoins the huge area of Saint Martin and gives access to the slopes of Val Thorens and Le Trois Vallées (The Three Valleys).
The Grangerais and Saint Martin sector: It offers huge spaces on the West slopes of the Vallée des Belleville, with a run right down to the heart of the welcoming village of Saint Martin. It also gives access to the 3 Vallées and to the resort and slopes of Méribel.
The Masse sector: Very well oriented it offers an exceptional quality of snow and an incomparable panoramic view from the top. From this sector, one can join all the off-piste routes; the Vallon du Lou, the Yvoses and the Encombres.
The resort not only has skiing facilities, but also offers a range of other activities. Besides skiing, you can go for a walk on foot or with snowshoes, try the buggy or quad and enjoy the swimming pool or the fitness room. You can also discover the local culture or go listen to a classical concert at night.
