Flaine is a convenient purpose built resort split over three levels. Originally envisioned as an architectural masterpiece of the Bauhaus style Flaine’s modern style divides opinion. The resort is split over three levels each with its own cafes, shops and bars. As a purpose built resort Flasine is very efficient and getting around the car free centre is easy. The resort is well laid out with excellent lift access.
The ski area at Flaine has 140km of piste from gentle greens to gnarly blacks. Flaine is part of a larger ski area known as the Grand Massif which is one of the largest in Europe with a massive 265km of piste. Due to the altitude and aspect of the resort Flaine has a good reputation for snow cover with conditions remaining excellent long after the last snowfall.
