Tignes Resort Information

Our Snow Express luxury coach service operates weekly between London and Tignes.

Tignes is a purpose built ski town that offers so much skiing and snowboarding that it is almost unbelievable. Tignes is part of one of the world's largest ski areas and France's largest ski area known as 'Espace Killy.' It is also linked to the ski resort, 'Val d'Isere.' Tignes has 300km of marked pistes and outstanding, easily-reached off piste, making it a fantastic choice of resort for all.

Being purpose built, Tignes offers convenient skiing with guaranteed snow cover. The 3656m Grande Motte, reached from Val Claret by an efficient but often crowded funicular or by a long two-stage quad-chair, is open for 10 months a year.

Tignes-le-Lac has a beginner half-pipe as well as an expert one, a snow-cross course and assorted obstacles. Tignes has two dedicated freeride zones - each known as Le Spot. One of these has fixed locations and equipment to practise the use of avalanche equipment.
